Nationwide WiMAX: Who Benefits? [view article]
Scott-If you really believed that consumers would benefit, then it should have been on the list in your analysis, rather than a rebuttal to comments. It is stating the obvious that key stake holders i.e. Craig McCaw stands to benefit most--duh! The man had the vision to create a nationwide cellular network, which later became AT&T wireless. He invested in Nextel when no one believed iDEN would work...and it became the jewel of the industry prior to it's merger with Sprint--in terms of customer loyalty, operating margins, and wannabe imitators. Now he's invested in, and got other's to invest in, a proposed nationwide broadband wireless network. It's about time the U.S. takes the lead again in wireless technology. It won't do so waiting around for LTE. I believe US wireless customers would stand to benefit much. Reply

Yet again you claim to have read my previous posts where I have stated this numerous times...MetroPCS. We don't sell data so not sure how I would be envious of a "startup" company that sells junk. Once we do start selling data I'm sure Sprextel/Clearwire will be something we talk about in passing...with quite a few jokes!

I see you haven't denied working for Sprextel/Clearwire so we're all assuming that's why you're so defensive...good luck there bud!

Actually Ops Mgr. Dr. Ernest Simo is a well respected engineer & author of many books. He's a nationally recognized trainer in wireless technologies. As usual in all my responses to your uneducated posts, try doing some background research before posting crap...again, go back to work Sprextel/Clearwire sales puke! Reply

And yet again you didn't read my post. I DID NOT dispute any gain Clearwire had the PREVIOUS week. I only posted they lost that & more the week FOLLOWING. Good God dude, READ BEFORE POSTING CRAP! I also ask that you look up Dr. Ernest Simo who indeed also claims that HSDPA uses OFDM in some cases. Again, I don't claim to know anything, I just post my opinions. You can now go back to work Sprextel/Clearwire employee.... Reply

InterOil found two very big natural gas resources in Asia (where LNG trades at a huge premium) plus they might very well have ability for a liquids stripping plant and their refinery has turned around. Half the float is short, but the case for shorting seems weaker by the week (we might get a push from the new SEC rules as well). The upside is still very large as the gas has not been priced in and they have many more drilling prospects.

We follow it almost on a daily basis at shareholdersunite.com where you can also find many background articles.

Sprint-Clearwire Deal Expected to Close in Q4 [view article]
If you've read my other posts you would also have seen I work for MetroPCS so get your stories straight before posting nonsense. I only made an observation actually backing up what you said...about AT&T only complaining because they have the same fight coming up about having too much spectrum. I actually can't stand AT&T either...but they're definitely (& quite obviously due to the sheer volume of customer defections from Sprint) better than Sprint. I'd also love to hear your opinions against my observations on market readiness of WiMax & LTE...post at will! Reply

And ATT is not a freakin' monopoly resurrected????? Only an ATT rank and file peon would think not. If ATT is so great and unstopable and Sprint sucks so bad as you drone on and on and on in every other post you make, then why do you care if CLWR plus S has a competitive edge with 2.5ghz spectrum? I've read your other posts by the way and you are sadly misinformed on the market readiness of both WiMAX and LTE. Have a great day! Reply

AT&T (as well as Verizon Wireless) just purchased huge chunks of 700mhz spectrum...they're not worried. I believe they're disputing this "merger" just for the fact Clearwire/Sprint have a monopoly on 2.5Ghz that apparently doesn't have to follow the normal FCC rules for amount of spectrum in a market which they'll have to contend with soon themselves. AT&T is concerned because spectrum is a very real -- and limited -- commodity.
